Ok, great you read a book, and passed an exam to be a trainer. Post just one link to your triathlons, I know lots of triathletes like JJ Bailey (who won Los Angeles Triathlon). Swim 10 miles - yeah right considering the Ironman distance is 2.4... My nutrition going into a marathon has been posted elsewhere. Simply its 65% Calories from Fat,30% Protein,5% Carbs (primarily from vegetables with the remainder from eggs and cheese). Finally, make your mom proud and talk like an adult.

Don't tell me to watch my tone when you take one with me too. Justified, but not rational. Whats your diet look like when you go into a marathon? I want grams of carbs, proteins, and fats. Simple or complex carbs? Whats your in marathon consumption like. I don't use "athlinks". You want my credentials? I'm a personal trainer through the national academy of sports medicine, a life guard, and a cyclist. I have ridden 50 miles, swam 10, and ran 10. Thats my crdentials. I'm a triathlete.

Did you even watch the videos? You would have seen photos of my finishing the Des Moines Marathon. I'll give you a hint a marathon 26.2 miles long. I run 6 miles on an off day. Finally, watch your tone and name-calling or this is over. What is your name, so I can evaluate your credentials on athlinks website. I have put mine out there, and anyone can see the results of my past races -- whether they be 5k or halfs or full marathons.

Yah, how much does this guy really exercise? Go run 6 miles in an hour while having a low carb diet. It doesn't happen. You will hit the wall in the first 30 minutes. Shmuck probably doesn't even know the citric acid cycle, oxidative phosphorylation, or substrate phosphorylation.

Carbs have always been in my diet. (Atkins is not a no carb diet.) I have certainly added more carbs back into my diet than during Induction -- most low carb followers even at goal do not eat over 100g per day though. I eat between 30-45g/day. As for eating "normally," I would claim I am.

Now that you've reached your goal weight, shouldn't you be starting to eat normally now and include carbs in your diet?

Accountability has a role in all aspects of life from relationships to work life to community roles. Outlining it with dieting is only one small part. Unfortunately for me, that some of other areas are not as easily achieved or achieved. In the end with most things, you are much better being part of a group than you are on your own. People need to be challenged by others and keep challenging themselves to not simply accept what they can change.

Good job talking about accountability, and the requirement to forming relationships to hold you such. |
