jana,You, a supposed chemical-onlyite, with chemical-based "cheer"?Sounds like a Monday morning team meeting of test tube samplings, seated around a big pharma lab counter.Back to REAL reasoning.."And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee." (Ac 24:25):-)Would you like some potatoes?

dalt,"fantasy-onlyite"? hahahahahaha. You win extra sweet potatoes at Thanksgiving.Anyway..I stated.."That would be like ground gravel assessing "reality" about ground iron."And you state, "deeper thinking" holds this position?hahahahahaha.Pass the potatoes.:-)

digiin trac4yt's reply to you he reveals his whole premise and gives away the reason for his and all other faith-head's delusion. he writes.." There appears to be something missing.;-)"the key word here is 'appears' and like the iron age scribes whose words he clings to he has filled the gap with a supernatural creator. at least they used their imagination to make up for lack of education. trac just follows the dogma to save him from any deeper thinking. he's a fantasy-onlyite!

digi,The existence of the Bible on your bookshelf doesn't make Biblical revelation true.Bible revelation is infallible FACT regardless of a visitor to your home stating, "Hey, there's a Bible.":-)"And Hilkiah the high priest said unto Shaphan the scribe, I have found the book of the law in the house of the LORD. And Hilkiah gave the book to Shaphan, and he read it." (2Ki 22:8)

digi,Are you a chemical-onlyite like Dawkins and Hitchens? From being only chemistry, you propose to have a handle on reality? That would be like ground gravel assessing "reality" about ground iron. There appears to be something missing.;-)"And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam [was made] a quickening spirit." (1Co 15:45):-)

If you really believe what your saying then I feel sorry for you. Im not suprised religious people keep going back to their books (Bible, Qu'ran etc)......it helps them to keep the delusion real/alive in the absence of tangiable evidence. Listening to people debate scripture is a waste of time. Its a debate about nothingness. I personally love Dawkins and Christopher......because they are intelligent people who have attempted to rationalised reality.

a debate on religion is useless! no one can win it.

marchog and blueprophet.i've seen the vid with galloway v hitchens but while i think george gave hitchens something to think about, it was mostly ad hom stuff. not saying hitch is right on iraq but he seemed to go into the debate mainly reling on his wit. it let him down this time as the ex politician was well prepared with a catalogue of smears from hitchens' past. i once saw george being chauffered thru glastonbury festival waving like the queen. he's a bit of an ego maniac! |
