I grew up watching Scott and his Dad racing in Top Fuel in the early 90s. Scott was a thouroughly deserving Champion and a huge asset to drag racing. He died doing what he loved: racing to entertain the fans. RIP Scott.

enough of the arguments guys plz. this man died doing what he loved most of all. if you read his history, you'll find out he did alot for the motorsport your all interested in. 49% of my respect is tied up in this guy, the other 51% plus my 10% reserve is dedicated to McRAE. R.I.P little JOHNNY.

normally the parachute would have deployed slowing him down, and word was the explosion at the finish line knocked him out and thats why he never slowed down

a wall 400 mts after the 1/4? these cars are going @ 300mph like 480kph so the track will end at....5 or 6 more secs?...there should b like a mile after the finish line. i think the crash killed him not the explosion

When he went to the finals in joliet the week before I was standing less than three feet away from the man. Drag racing as a sport lost a great champion that day, and he should never be forgotten. RIP Scott. We hope your winning races up there.
