You're really ridiculous, you know that? It's a style question; he's not trying to be the next American Idol. He's showing you how he crafts a song and he obviously does it well considering you're comparing it to the many cover versions.

It's a great song but i agree with others that different artists' versions are better. His is in a bit of a monotone in my eyes..better off being sung an octave higher up :)He's one hell of a songwriter but not a great singer to be frank.
