I'm a little sad that Lopardo has moved from Rossini, through Donizetti and into Verdi. I saw him years ago in Italian Girl. I admired his recording of Idreno in Semiramide. I wanted him to graduate to the great Nozzari roles like Otello and Agorante. BTW he was just about the funniest tenor I've ever seen in Italian Girl and Daughter of the Regiment.

Correction of course I mean Lensky in Onegin His voice has a certain dramatic virle sound and I can hear him in my mind singing in Forza, I believe the voice is spinto and big enough for the role, Tucker was my favorite for that reason, a spinto solid sound. Frank will last the voice is placed so well and has that nice dark color I like, lyric Shicoff in this role also, check out you tube with him doing this but a much different voice then this cannot compare apples and oranges my best steve

Just saw this one and like Frank L. Just heard him recently in Chicago do a terrific Onegin, heard the brdcst first on WFMT and then in the house few weeks later, liked both but thought in the house his voice sounded even better, even and his piano notes where very fine. This is a solid tenor voice with fine technique who will last and is very under rated, bravo Lopardo

Frank, you have an amazing sound. I wish you were still singing at the Met. I have seen you 3 times there, once in La Boheme and twice as the Duke in Rigoletto. You sent me an autograph picture a few years ago and I appeciate it. Keep singing Frank and God Bless.Vincenzo
