Agree with your post and others. This is by far my fav Clash song and a true punk classic. Mick gets credit for it. Very cool lead, too.

Great comment Bundadoo- Strummer gets all the credit but they were nothing without Mick Jones and Topper= knowing the way it works they will only get the credit when they die

Joe Strummer(John Mellor) is always the one first mentioned when the Clash is brought up.Yet,he is the one who fired Mick Jones and Topper Headon who were the true musical forces in the Clash.Without these two the Clash was left with Joe's lyrics and we saw what happened then.

when i was younger i always thought it was joe singing but i only found out years later it was Mick Mick is cool as cool gets in my opinion
