Famous Polish bard Jacek Kaczmarski (the symbol of Solidarity'80-81) was deeply fascinated by Vysotsky. In Poland Vysotsky is not only well known (at least to peaple of more or less my generation) but admired and considered the greatest Russian bard.As for myself, in spite of the years gone, his singing still gives me the goose flesh. (sorry for not writing this in Russian, I haven't got the Russian characters).
