Sure, give us proof other than speculation! If Phelps is a cheat just because he is winning, then we should be skeptical of Stephanie Rice, Kirsty Coventry and everyone else who has won golds, too. We can believe Phelps is clean because 1) There hasn't been any unexplained phenomenal drops in times. Phelps has consistently broken records since he was 15. 2) He has been tested rigorously since he was 15. These are the same reasons I believe Thorpe was clean even when they accused him of doping.

i disagree that Thorpe is a better freestyler. Michael has demolished the 200 freestyle record twice between 2007-2008, besides Michael is a much complete swimmer than thorpe. Thorpe only won 3 individual golds in olympic games............
