there isnt a wall at the end of the track, its a retaining wall that runs along side the track and curves to the left way past the end so that if someone got up into it, the wall would deflect them the camera angle makes it look like its across the end ... it is not

I retract that statement I made about Morgan Lucas. I guess I got a little too excited. It wasn't the proper thing to say, But Scott is still an asshole. I am sorry that his life had to end so early and I feel bad for his wife and kids because they are the ones suffering. Scott and Whit Bazemore are my 2 least favorite drag racers of all time.

I am a lifelong drag racing fan. I have been going to NHRA drag races for 30 years. I have been around alot of the drivers and I always thought Scott was an asshole. I remember after he died all of his fellow drag racers were praising him on how great of a guy he was, bullshit, say what you really think ass kisser's. The guy was unapproachable in the pits. He would always look at you like "what the fuck do you want" ? Just another rich kid. Morgan Lucas is next.

It IS so bad if you have a wife and kids....I get the WHY he wanted to do it, just not sure if he NEEDED to do it...but, like you say, it's a risk....and you balance that...

Its that very fact that makes it what it is, its just like the gladiators in rome...its the chance of death, the rush that your doing something that no one else can or will do. The ability to control raw...untamed power..If death is the price for doing what you love, is that really that bad?

there isnt a wall there is a sand trap 2 stop the cars but when the car blew up the chutes didnt open and the camera crane was down to low nd it hit that
