There's no such thing as "gothic." It's just a media stereotype given to those of us who have a predisposition to be different from the masses. So, in essence, you don't have to be "one of us" to love any music like this. If you're even the slightest bit different from the "clones", as I like to call them, then you understand the music and it's message.
