As a Scot, i confirm i live in THE most beautiful, diverse and safe country in the world. We have a good economy, plenty of oil in the North Sea, a culture fiercly proud and we are absolutely bathed in history. You cant go 10 miles in Scotland without arriving at a Castle. I've travelled the world too. Ireland is fantastic, especially the people but its a little "flat" compared to Scotland!

Scotland is by far the best country in the world. Im sorry but Scotland has not been the reason England has gone into recession. Englands top banks didn't check people credit ratings and gave loans to people who couldn't pay them pay back, Thats why most English Banks failed , causing loss of money in the economy and loss of jobs and also mortgages given by banks fell through crushing the housing market. Dont blame the Scotish cause England stabbed thenselves in the foot!
