retouching is good i think.you can make lighting more dramatic or change the focus of an image or different/more dramatic colour schemeso it isn't all bad.it brings a more dramatic effect to the image so it shouldn't be abnned i don't thinkand this is coming from a 13 year oldpeople think i don't know what's been retouched and what hasn't.i've used photoshop for a few months now so i'm all in favour of it if used the right way

I actually do photo re-touching for apart of my job and some of these women are beautiful that i edit but when i get request's like to have a higher brown or to get their face to look more sculpted i become shocked because these women are gorgeous and when i don't do it the person who hires them as models complain they look ugly. it shocks me. i don't think it should be banned but i also don't think American should be shown a delusion of a non existent perfection.

NO retouching should not be banned. That's a lame idea. Honestly, if you look through a magazine, or watch the news or glance across the restaurant, and see someone with an imperfection, don't you end up focusing on it? Perhaps bring it up with the person next to you? "OMG her smile is crooked, she has weird dots in her eyes, look at his birthmark shaped like Jesus" it distracts you from the message or the image, whatever it is the artists are trying to portray.

Yes, I think it should be banned, and otherwise they must be very clearly marked as artist work, and not photos! I actually thought I was kind of ugly, you know. You might say that we are stupid if we don't think about that images are retouched, but who can think about that everytime one see a picture? Now ordinary people want to retouch. I wanted to do it, I didn't want blemishes! The standard must be NATURAL. We can't compete with aliens..

there is something wrong with faking how you actually look. that desire is the soul source of what drives this entire industry. it is a problemBut then again, touch-up photos are just like make up. Is make up wrong? Would the same argument used in this video for the touch up photo industry apply to all make up or beauty enhancement? You may be right. I guess there are pros and cons to the situation |
