It's impossible to compare professional bassists such as Victor Wooten, Stanley Clarke, Marcus Miller, Les Claypool, James Jameson, and the 100s of other skilled musicians because they play different music. Technically they are all about the same, they just play different things. Cliff Burton however, is fucking bad. I don't care what all the fat mulleted metallica fans say, he is nothing special. He just mashes his fingers between 12-14 and uses a distortion pedal so it sounds mildly cool.
