Look this song is cool, nice cover. But it will never be better then jimi. But that doesnt take away the fact that this is a prety good song.

A lot of the negative comments here fail to take into account the very real aspect of this issue: composers of every stripe/style/musicality by and large, really LIKE seeing their work get covered by other talented musicians. Hendrix himself did LOTS of covers in his lifetime: Muddy Waters ("Red House"), Howlin' Wolf ("Killing Floor"), Chuck Berry, Lennon/McCartney, Bob Dylan, etc. Musicians are usually never as uptight about that stuff as their more religious fans seem to be.

I think if the drums were more like Mitchell's it'd be a better cover. It's still good though.

This is a great cover. However if you're watching the video whilst hearing it for the first time you may not like it. The track's got the groove but the video loses it somewhat. I agree with the others that Jimi would have liked it. And as for those who say no-one can cover him - don't you think he would have been pissed off if he'd have lived and no-one covered his stuff?
