For those of us who live in the Youngstown-Akron-Canton-Cleveland area that once thrived... this song hits home hard.

Just a remarkable song. "My father come on the Ohio Works when he come home from World War II / Now the yard's just scrap and rubble, he says 'Them big boys did what Hitler couldn't do.' " Amazing song.

I saw the Seeger Sessions tour concert in Sheffield UK.Bruce said he had to play this song as he was in Sheffield, a steeltown, the place went wild ! Its all over that these industries and jobs have been lostThats an artist who understands his audience and where he is, not just churning out the same set every night , probabily one of the best £50 I ever spent for that concertFor a UK view of Steeltowns look for the the BBC radio ballards 2006

We have plenty of rednecks too....tell all your yankee and California friends it sucks here and stay home. I get so tired of people moving to Texas then all they talk about is how great their home state is.

I think you mean 'rednecks.'

I'm from Jersey and Bruce knows the score. Blue Collar jobs have been pimped out and families destroyed. Jobs sent overseas and the rich guys on wall street get bailed out.
