This is a VERY special video in the jazz world. The tune "Cherokee" is the mother of all bop classics. Max Roach, Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie played it famously on the Massey Hall recording from Toronto. So to see Max and Diz here is a real treat many years later. But then to see the next generation after Parker, Woods and McLean, play it is a double bonus as they both are great in their own right. This is a ***** FIVE STAR CLASSIC *****
