I like the bass solo too (I don't think he's my Grandfather though). Nothing flash but very tasteful and musical (and good intonation). Good music all round.

i can understand what valvetrom means, as I am a brass player myself. I like the bass solo as well (the bassist is my grandfather).

Ruby loved the low register on his Cornet/trumpet,too also for getting more blood in his lips after some high passages.

Although the video quality is poor, there is nothing wrong with the music. Wonderful Ruby and Pee Wee was in fine form on his solo. That's the first time I have seen Ruby crack a smile.He really liked Pee Wee's low register work.
