Amen to Dr. Paul. The voice of reason in a cesspool of idiots.

The theory that cannabis causes paranoia type mental illness is wrong and based on a single flawed study. Of all the people I have ever known that smoked cannabis, and some have smoked for decades, none have shown any negative symptoms what-so-ever. But that aside, even if it did, it still doesn't justify it being illegal to consume. There are countless poisonous plants that you can consume legally that will absolutely kill you. Making drugs illegal is a worthless waste of time and resources.

I have changed my mind on this subject. I think the government should cash in on marijuana. It do a lot more damage than trying to fight it from coming into the country. They can still fight people who try to deal it, then putting people away would be more worth wild.I still would never smoke it, I still think drugs are worthless. I think alcohol is just as or more dangerous as marijuana.I don't drink either. In the end, tax it, let it be legal to a certain amount.

ah ha! i've been clean for almost 90 days and have been having great fun.... i still think states powers should be stronger than federal though.

Bush would veto it. If Obama legalizes, we will know he is genuine, if he hands it to pharmaceutical companies and makes it a prescribed drug, then he is just an aristocrat looking out for other aristocrats.

Zealously or idiocy? lol Mj would probably just trigger a collective state of severe paranoia if it were made legal in the U.S... not that there isnt such a state there already.. i mean, it could get worse i suppose. lol

bud: "I guess the biggest arguement for keeping marijuana illegal is that is can cause paranoia type mental illness."Mj can only trigger mental illness in those people who already hav a propensity for mental illness. People who are mentally and emotionally balanced do not fall into this category.

Secondly if sugar was smeared the same way which cannabis has been for 70 or so years you would have a similar situation as you have now. Finally the fanatical nature of american society is what keeps it illegal - perhaps the best prescription for american zealously could be marijuana itself.

I guess the biggest arguement for keeping marijuana illegal is that is can cause paranoia type mental illness. There are a few things that need be taken into consideration before respecting that arguement. First and foremost the united states is a breeding ground for mental illness some studies will state as many as 50%+ mental illness rate(you can blame media, turn on the news and somone died lock your doors - halloween tainted candy [a ridiculous misconception of the truth.]
