Chris Cornell was born in 1964 and Chester Bennington was born in 1976, that is a 12 year difference. Soundgarden began in 1984 and Linkin Park began in 1996. Again a 12 year difference. Audioslave (Chris Cornell Vocals of Soundgarden and the band from Rage Against The Machine) technically started in 2000 but really were official in 2001. Linkin Park wasn't even known until 2001 when "One Step Closer" came out though they did also start in 2000. So even with that argument they are only equal.
