rickenbackers are so expensive and i'm very lucky to have one (my dad bought it in the 1970s and then i found it hidden away in a cupboard) but not many people can afford to start off with one - they are amazing, though. Fun fact: Peter Hook's 'Ric' was actually a copy of a Ric by Hondo, which he smashed on stage about a week after this was filmed.

man it took me soooo long to get into this band. i actually tried to get into them, i listened ofr ages, an then suddenly was like Yes! they deserve their rep! so good

bass player never use rickenbackers anymore...great sounding instuments. you want great tone...start w/ a rick...get 3 svt 8/10 cabs...one vintage svt top...one vintage 50 watt tube marshall...slave the two...plug in, turn up...and stand back.
