i dunno. DP doesn't quite match Heaven Tonite. kinda sounds like it wants to be, but somehow misses. But it's the last lp of note they ever made. Can't understand why they could never make another grand slam since.

Even though it lacked the rawness of "Cheap Trick" and "Heaven Tonight", "Dream Police" is one of their greatest albums and captures the band in a creative pinnacle. Unfortunately never to be replicated.

it's more a tribute to the Beatles. Both jeff Lynne and Rick Nielson are HUGE Beatles fans, and both copped the whole minor chord progression from them......Taking Me Back sounds more like ELO...to me anyways

They were the opening band for KISS in their early days. When he first heard them Ace Frehley was quoted saying "those guys are gonna make it" and here we are.
