I am a fan of Stokely. The new album E-Life is great. Typical Mint Album with different genres of music. Even though they lost Keri Lewis they still sound great. I am a drummer, so I love Mint to. They are my favorite band with EWF a close second

cb4077......Oh, Mint Condition is the shit ! They are a band in the true sense . They can actually play.....and play their ass off . A product of Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis back in the day . They took some time off , but I hear they're back in the Studio and even touring again . You either love Stokley's voice....or hate it . I personally love it . What can I say...I'm a keyboard player....and I love this band....and EW&F :)

i agree. That is why I like Mint Condition and why they have lasted 18 years. They kept theyre identity and still manage to keep with the time. They are the only R & B band currently signed to a record label. Now that is standing the test of time

This song in a way is what EWF is all about. They've always been more of an evolving ensemble, all the way back to the Salty Peppers days in the 60s/70s. Here, the rapping kids seem to be a continuation of that experimentation. The arrangement of this song hints of the pre-I Am days and yet bridges to the 90s. So satisfying to see EWF ruling again in the late 80s. Phenomenal band..er...ensemble.

I agree that it is lacking in somethingOne big thing is that they don't have any of the same poetic verses.another is the style!!! none of the funky clothes or rhythms, just the same as everyone else. But Rubish!!!!?????hell no get outta here with that Bull tisue paper. lolEWandF will never make rubbish even if they tried and that's just the way it is.

johnnierhodes...you are entitled too your opinion as am i. I still think this track is rubbish compared to their callisc material from the seventies and early eighties. This sounds very very dated now..far more than their classic stuff which holds up even today.

11bryansbaby4lyf......not sure if that is Sonny Emory.....but if it is , it's because this song has a drum track from a drum machine (not Sonny's playing)....and they probably wanted to include Sonny in the video ...as he was a member of the band at that time . Most people wouldn't even notice....and that's why they probaly did it . Kinda of cool though....because they really didn't have to do that at all. Actually...it's a class move . Much respect :)

Yeah Bigmikemiller7.......Al McKay was the shit . His rhythm was unmatched , but EWF has always stepped up and made changes for the better and for whatever reasons unknown to us. I won't speculate on these reasons , although I remember hearing about some of them back in the day . To me....the band has always improved and I'm a hard core fan and also a Musician. Yeah....I miss Al and also Larry.....but EWF continued to grow without them . Enough said :)

Russell230870......The reason EWF has been so popular for many decades is because they paid attention to the current style of music and adapted it into their own style . This is marketing genius....and almost impossible for most bands to due successfully . EWF never lost their identity...only reinvented it as needed . Maurice White could create an arrangement of Chop Sticks...and it would be slammin' ! He is a genius .
