This is the furnace portion of my steampunk PC, the Telecalculograph. The color of the "fire" is a little off in the video, in real life it is a more homogenous orange. While I came up with the furnace idea, the basic circuit and software design were by Ryan Myers. His website on the subject is here: http://casemods.pointofnoretur... for watching!

That is brilliant. It's kinda funny how the best steampunk objects are being made by people with the most computer savvy.

Cool. And I agree, would like to see more."a feedback mechanism that blows more air into the furnace"That's actually correct, a steam locomotive uses the exhaust steam that goes through the stack from the cylinders to create a draft, drawing more air through the fire. The harder the engine works the stronger the draft and the hotter the fire.

you should round the end of the slots, would give it a more "Old" look

Maker sure that you don't pan out and show the entire case, that would be a little too interesting. Joker!
