if you really think about it, the nudity WAS necessary. it represents vulnerability most often. it's also to remind us that even though these girls aren't human, and that they have these extraordinary abilities... they're still flesh and bone. the gore didn't bug me at all really... i just wish they would've kept going with the anime...and cletusray... i dunno if you realize this or not, but the anime was made for mature audiences. thus the MA rating.

The nudity never bothered me in the series. I take the entire series very seriously, and most of the nudity was not un-called for. But there were several parts I felt just seemed like crude fan-service. I felt that the beginning in where she breaks from her confinement was called for, I mean, she was just wearing those shit wraps. The only way she could move around was to rip it off?

The anime was absolutely heart-wrenching at many points, and the manga almost brought me to tears, I highly recommend it for anyone who was puzzled about the anime ending. Since the anime just ended halfway into the manga series.And this AMV contains three things which I love.1) Power Metal2) Sonata Arctica (Weballergy is still kickass.)3) Elfen Lied

The only thing wrong with this anime is that it's too bloody and too much nudity.Basically: too adult.
